Biography
Hana is an expert Labor & Employment Law attorney who has practiced in federal, state, and local courts since 2009. Fluent in Korean and English, Hana leads with a strong focus on effective HR and legal department integration. As a former Managing Attorney and In-House Counsel, she specializes in minimizing litigation risks through strategic negotiations and proactive compliance. Early in her legal career, Hana gained a wealth of experience in non-profit organization legal management by advocating for workers' rights as a labor and managing attorney at various non-profit organizations. Hana then gained significant experience from the employee side while serving as an investigative attorney at the NYC Commission on Human Rights for several years. She then went on to become the Deputy General Counsel at the Fortune Society, which is among NYC's largest re-entry organizations with hundreds of employees annually serving approximately ten thousand clients. Hana earned her law degree from St. John's Law School in New York and her undergraduate degree from Handong Global University in South Korea, and is admitted to practice in the Southern District of New York (SDNY), Eastern District of New York (EDNY), New York (NY), and New Jersey (NJ).
